Full Journal pdf1996-03-18 House Journal Page 3178 HB 528 The Health, Education & Social Services Committee has considered: HOUSE BILL NO. 528 An Act relating to applications for certificates of need and licensing of nursing homes; amending the standard of review for certificates of need for health care facilities in the state; establishing a moratorium with respect to new applications by prohibiting the issuance of a certificate of need or a license for additional nursing home capacity in the state until July 1, 1998; and providing for an effective date. and recommends it be replaced with: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 528(HES) An Act relating to applications for certificates of need and licensing of nursing homes; amending the standard of review for certificates of need for health care facilities in the state; establishing a moratorium with respect to new applications by prohibiting the issuance of a certificate of need or a license for additional nursing home capacity in the state until July 1, 1997; establishing a working group to study and issue a report about long-term care; and providing for an effective date.
